Sarath is an experienced energy markets, regulatory and commercial lawyer.
Sarath has more than 14 years’ experience helping resolve complex legal challenges and working with government and market participants facing regulatory, transactional, corporate governance, dispute resolution and policy challenges within the energy and infrastructure sector.
Sarath’s experience has been accumulated by tackling regulatory matters at the AEMC, undertaking energy transactions and advisory services for generators and energy retailers within the NEM, and as Head of Legal and Risk for a large national energy and water utility.
Background
Sarath holds a Bachelor of law (Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney.
Sarath is also admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
Sarath is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
