Stefan is a corporate lawyer specialising in the energy and resources sector, with experience in high profile and complex transactions across both the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Stefan has experience in mergers and acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures / shareholder arrangements, and specialist commercial contracting.  His breadth of experience also includes capital raising, general corporate law, and advising on the regulatory regimes relevant to doing business in Australia and New Zealand.

With strong technical acumen and written communication skills, Stefan is known for his ability to translate complex legal and commercial issues into practical advice.

Background

Stefan has a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University of Wellington and is admitted to practice in Victoria and New Zealand. Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Stefan worked in New Zealand for Simpson Grierson.
