Tim is an intellectual property lawyer specialising in high tech dispute resolution.
Tim predominantly advises on high tech patent disputes in a range of fields including electronics, semiconductors and telecommunications. His work involves the commencement and defence of infringement and revocation actions with highly complex subject matter. With his background in engineering, Tim has a particular focus on the high tech sector but also has experience working in the life sciences, resources and consumer products sectors.
In addition to patent disputes, Tim also has experience advising clients in relation to copyright, trade marks, confidential information and consumer law issues, both contentious and non-contentious.
Tim joined the London office in 2023 after moving from Australia, having worked in the intellectual property disputes team in the Sydney office since 2019.
Background
Tim is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia. Tim completed his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) at the University of Sydney. Tim has also worked as an Associate to a specialist IP Judge of the Federal Court of Australia.
