Youssef Kassem is a Knowledge Lawyer in the Corporate practice based in Düsseldorf.
He advises national and international companies on issues of energy law and energy transactions and is also responsible for know-how resources and training programmes.
Before taking on his current role, Youssef worked as a Trainee in the Competition, Regulation & Trade team in Düsseldorf and the Energy & Infrastructure team in London. His experience includes advising companies in a wide range of regulatory aspects of their projects, including in the fields of energy, mining, construction, FDI, and state aid law.
Background
Youssef holds law degrees from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University of Bonn, Queen Mary University of London, and Cairo University. He was admitted to the Egyptian bar in 2024 and has recently completed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination in England & Wales.
Youssef is fluent in Arabic, English, and German, and has working knowledge of French.
