Alumni Matters Issue 2021 is now live

Our annual alumni magazine celebrates the determination and success of our inspirational people, both past and present. 

This year our theme is centred around the very current topic of Environmental, Social and Governance or ESG.  As ESG has moved from corporate platitude to boardroom imperative in recent years, we are delighted to feature a hugely impressive range of Herbert Smith Freehills alumni, each of whom offers their own perspective on the significance of ESG issues for their business.

• Ray Cahill, alumnus and director of corporate governance at Associated British Foods is putting the 'G' in ESG with good governance and positive impacts
• Helen Wright, our persistent pioneer, reflects on a trail-blazing career 'smashing ceilings' at a time when others were still dreaming of the possibility
• Emma Anderson, Sanjay Bhandari, Claire Hall, Hannah Smith and Michelle Yu are all alumni working for charities and community organisations in collaboration with HSF showcasing the opportunities alumni relationships present to work together for the greater good.
• Khoa Pham, is making city life Beam as General Counsel for a tech start-up helping the world go green with micromobility
