Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has added counsel Duc Nguyen to its busy Asia aviation and asset finance team.
A career specialist in aviation and asset finance, Duc expands the deep Asia industry experience in the Singapore-based team.
In addition to private practice, he also has experience at one of the world's largest commercial airline leasing/financing companies and is well-connected within the aviation industry.

A native of Vietnam, Duc begins his new role today, 17 January 2022. He joins Siva, partner Samuel Kolehmainen and a team of aviation and finance specialists in Singapore. The team advises aviation and finance clients across the globe, in close cooperation with the firm's other aviation finance teams based in London and Sydney.

ABOUT DUC
Duc graduated with bachelor's degrees in law from Hanoi University in Vietnam in 2008, and from the University of Law in the United Kingdom in 2011. He is qualified in England & Wales and Vietnam.
He has been with a leading aviation finance firm for ten years, during which time he worked in Bangkok, London and most recently Singapore. Duc was also seconded to aviation leasing industry leader GECAS in Singapore in 2017, working on a wide range of complex Asia aviation matters. Duc has recently been recognised in Chambers and Partners as having "highly valuable customer-focused communication and commitment."
