On 20 March 2023, Herbert Smith Freehills will move its Perth team into the city’s newest premium-grade building, One The Esplanade.
The firm will occupy two levels within Brookfield’s 29-storey commercial tower located on the banks of the Swan River in Elizabeth Quay.
Managing Partner of Herbert Smith Freehills’ Perth office, Elizabeth Macknay explained that the firm’s new workplace had been designed to meet the needs of its people and clients.
“The new building offered us a blank canvas to create a tailored environment with state-of-the-art facilities to meet the evolving needs of our people, helping them to perform at their best and deliver outstanding results for our firm and our clients.
“Set over two floors with spectacular views of the Swan River, Langley Park and the Supreme Court Gardens, our new office will facilitate greater connection and collaboration, enhancing the way we work and further strengthening the culture of our team in Perth,” she said.
Herbert Smith Freehills’ new office fit-out, designed by Woods Bagot, prioritises greenery and access to natural light. It includes a variety of different meeting rooms and areas for team collaboration including stand-up meeting spaces, a large staff breakout area and a café, Café Maali, for both staff and clients to enjoy.
The new building is targeting market-leading sustainability ratings including a 5 Star NABERS rating, a 6 Star Green rating and meeting the IWBI WELL Gold (Core) standard.
Herbert Smith Freehills’ Perth office is currently in the QV1 Building on St Georges Terrace.
Ms Macknay added, “After 20 years at QV1, we are very excited about the move. I look forward to warmly welcoming our people and clients to our new office at Elizabeth Quay.”
