The business, known as SUPA, comprises three divisions:

  • SUPA Energy, which provides energy infrastructure like embedded electricity networks, metering and solar panels to new and existing properties.
  • SUPA Networks, which installs super-fast FTTP (fibre-to-the-premise).
  • SUPA Tech, which delivers security, access controls and building services management (including intercoms, security systems and CCTV).

Herbert Smith Freehills’ team is being led by partners Adam Charles and Andrew Clyne and senior associate Nick Lee, with the support of partners Peter Davis, Kwok Tang and Michael Gonski, special counsel Amalia Stone, senior associates Paul Burton and Rommo Pandit, and solicitors Natasha Kandi and Sam Hannah.

Adam Charles said, “We are delighted to be advising IFM’s private equity team on this investment. The embedded network space presents a number of highly attractive features, particularly for private capital investors, and SUPA is set for continued success with the support of IFM.”
