Herbert Smith Freehills has been ranked as the law firm with the highest average value claim in commercial disputes in the High Court, according to new research from litigation analytics platform Solomonic.
The rankings, which cover the first six months of 2023, estimate the firm's average claim value as £157m, over £45m higher than the second-placed firm.
The new figures continue the trend of the past few years. In its Year in Review covering 2022, Solomonic ranked Herbert Smith Freehills as top by the same metric, with an average claim value of £424m.
