Desalination Deal of the Year (MENA) - Mirfa 2
The firm advised the lenders to a consortium between ENGIE and TAQA on the Mirfa 2 Reverse Osmosis project. The project will be the third largest low-carbon intensive RO desalination plant in the UAE and will significantly contribute to the UAE achieving its decarbonisation targets under various ESG strategic initiatives.
PPP Deal of the Year: Street Lighting (MENA) - Abu Dhabi Street Lighting PPP Phase 2
The firm advised the lenders to a joint venture between Engie and EDF on the Noor 2 street-lighting project, a first-of-its-kind in the UAE, which entails the installation of 133,473 energy-efficient LED streetlights across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and will help drive the region's sustainability development agenda.
Renewable Energy Deal of the Year: Solar (MENA) - Manah I Solar PV Plant IPP
The firm advised EDF Renewables and Korea Western Power Co Ltd on the Manah I Solar PV Plant project, which constitutes a key part of Oman's energy transition plans. Once fully operational in 2025, the project will considerably contribute to the greener future of Oman by avoiding the emission of more than 700 thousand tons of CO2 per year.
