Herbert Smith Freehills is pleased to have advised Lendlease on its partnership with Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate (NSKRE) to deliver a build-to-rent apartment development at 899 Collins Street, Docklands. The transaction involved the establishment of an investment vehicle owned by Lendlease and NSKRE to hold the property, with Lendlease providing development management, investment management and construction services in respect of the development.
The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by partners Jane Hodder and Robert Bileckij, who were supported by executive counsels Kimberley Lean and Katrina Swift, and senior associate Benedict Cheung. Partner Lucy McCullagh and senior associates Josh Todd and Bobby Chen advised on the debt financing of the transaction, and partner Jinny Chaimungkalanont and senior associate Mark Peters advised on stamp duty
