Ceri is the professional support consultant for our award-winning banking litigation practice in the UK, which is ranked in the first tier for banking litigation in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.
Ceri focuses on technical legal issues affecting financial institutions. She has particular expertise in mis-selling/misrepresentation claims, contractual construction issues in the banking sector (specifically standard form documents such as the ISDA Master Agreement) and issuer liability claims (including the position of investment banks in this context). Ceri is responsible for communicating developments in the sector internally and externally through various channels, including the HSF banking litigation blog, seminars, webinars and a podcast series.
Ceri has written extensively on finance-related litigation, was co-editor of Getting the Deal Through – Financial Services Litigation 2018 (Law Business Research) and contributed to Class Actions in England and Wales (Sweet & Maxwell).
She is currently a committee member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association (LSLA). She previously founded and was first President of the Junior LSLA. Ceri was profiled in the 2014 Power Part Time List, published in the Financial Times, which names the top-50 most powerful people in the UK who have adopted a flexible approach to working.
Background
Ceri has a BSc in Molecular Cell Biology from University College London and qualified as a solicitor in 2007.
Ceri moved from senior associate level to the professional support lawyer role in 2015 when she was 8 years PQE.
