Isabel Chong
Isabel specialises in financial services regulation.
Isabel advises on financial services regulation with a particular focus on financial advice and distribution, superannuation and insurance. She has experience in advising on conduct and disclosure obligations, breach reporting, regulatory investigations and corporate restructurings of financial services businesses. She has also undertaken a client secondment at the Kingsford Legal Centre.
Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Isabel was an Associate to the Honourable Justice Farrell of the Federal Court of Australia.
Background
Isabel holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) from the University of New South Wales.
Isabel was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2020.
