Leo is a Senior Associate in our Energy Transition and Infrastructure Finance team in London.
Leo advises sponsors and financiers on complex energy, natural resources and infrastructure finance transactions internationally and in the UK. Leo has a particular emphasis on counselling clients in the mining, metals and critical minerals sector, having acted on the financing of a number of projects across Africa, Asia and Europe.
Background
Leo graduated from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Leo was based in the Singapore office of another international law firm (2016 to 2019).

- Adriatic Metals plc in connection with the financing for the development of its Vareš base metals project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The financing involved an equity fundraise, senior secured debt facility and secured copper stream
- AMP Clean Energy on the project financing of its portfolios of battery energy storage systems, biomass and urban reserve projects in the UK
- Base Resources on the financing and development of the Kwale mineral sands project in Kenya
