Lyn Harris

Having worked in Herbert Smith Freehills since 2012, Lyn maintains overall responsibility for the delivery of Disputes and legal technology services (cross practice) within the Digital Legal Delivery Practice. In her role, Lyn manages an international team of lawyers, legal analysts, eDiscovery and legal technology specialists in Belfast, London, New York and Johannesburg in the delivery of an expanding range of innovative Disputes, Legal Project Management and Legal Technology service offerings for clients.

Lyn considers it a primary strategic objective to respond innovatively to client demand and changing market conditions and her team works strategically with the firm's international Disputes practice to develop bespoke solutions and products for clients. Lyn's experience enables her to successfully fuse law and technology together to deliver work for clients in a way which delivers maximum value.

Lyn has led three major Employee and Community Engagement projects in collaboration with Arts and Business Northern Ireland, for which Herbert Smith Freehills has won three awards; and leads the Digital practice group's Race Champion's network across UK, US and EMEA as Partner Race Leader. Lyn is also a social mobility champion and supports the firm's social mobility network.

Background

Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Lyn was a partner in a large Northern Ireland firm heading up the dispute resolution practice, and in addition to 20 years' experience in dispute resolution she has considerable people, technology and project management experience gained in senior manager/lawyer roles throughout her career to date.
