Nick Heggart
Nick provides clients with advice in relation to income tax, stamp duty, petroleum resource rent tax and royalties, with a particular focus on clients in the energy and resources sector.
Nick was recognised by Legal 500 Asia Pacific’s 2020 guide as a key individual for tax law in Australia. In 2018, 2020 and 2022 he was named Perth Tax Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers, as well as a leading tax lawyer in WA by Doyle’s Guide. He was also a finalist in the 2019 Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards.
Background
Nick holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Sciences from the University of Western Australia and a Masters of Tax from the University of New South Wales. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser with The Tax Institute. He also sits on the State Revenue Liaison Committee (with the WA Commissioner of State Revenue) and on the Energy & Resources Working Group (with the Australian Taxation Office).
