Shanna is a Professional Support Lawyer in our Real Estate Dispute Resolution team.
Our Real Estate Dispute Resolution team takes pride in our technical excellence and deep understanding of our clients and markets, which is why The Legal 500 2024 celebrates our "cracking property litigation team". Shanna optimises the team’s performance and efficiency through knowledge development and management to deliver insight and diverse perspectives.
Drawing on her many years in private practice, part of Shanna's job is to help provide advice and support for colleagues in our real estate team, and across the firm, faced with complex legal queries relating to property. Shanna has particular expertise in landlord and tenant matters (including rent review), issues arising under the Building Safety Act 2022 and development constraints (including telecoms, third party rights and rights of light).
In her role as a knowledge lawyer, Shanna arranges and delivers in-house and client training, writes articles for external publications, and produces legal know-how materials on key developments. Shanna ensures our clients are kept up to date with changes in the law which may impact their day-to-day business.
Shanna also takes the lead to respond to the Government's key consultations in the property sector to offer our important perspective on the law and any proposed changes. Shanna is a member of the Property Litigation Association and sits on the Law Reform Committee.
