Sonia is an associate in our international arbitration practice in London.
Sonia has experience in international commercial and investment treaty arbitration. She has assisted clients across a range of sectors such as pharmaceuticals and energy – including in the context of a six-month secondment to a key energy client. She also has experience with ESG disputes, including climate litigation risk management.
Sonia has been involved in international arbitration proceedings under the LCIA, UNCITRAL, WIPO and ICSID rules.
Background
Sonia holds a first class LLB from SOAS University of London and a first class LLM in International Law from University College London, graduating with the highest average mark both times. She also studied Arabic at Cairo University.
Sonia is fluent in English, Spanish and French and intermediate in Arabic.
