Stacey is an Of Counsel in the firm's banking and finance practice, specialising in corporate debt and acquisition finance. 

Stacey has over a decade's experience working on a broad range of domestic and cross border debt refinancings, acquisition financings (both public and private bids), corporate lending, and general banking matters (advising on bilateral trade finance and other ancillary facilities, and internal group financing arrangements), acting predominantly for corporate borrowers and sponsors. 

More recently, Stacey has advised on sustainability-linked loan arrangements for a number of corporate clients and is a member of the firm's sustainable and green finance team, leading the conversation within the firm as to the continued evolution of sustainable finance in the loans space.

Stacey is recognised as a Key Lawyer in Legal 500 UK 2023 rankings and in the Legal 500 UK 2024 rankings for Bank Lending: Investment Grade Debt & Syndicated Loans and Acquisition Finance.

Background

Stacey is a graduate of the University of Oxford, where she read jurisprudence, and gained a Distinction on the LPC from BPP Law School.  She qualified as a solicitor in 2011.

  • Severn Trent on its £1 billion multicurrency revolving credit facility (its debut sustainability-linked loan), £125 million index-linked facilities, £530 million EIB financing, and various bilateral revolving and term credit facilities
  • The Weir Group plc in connection with the amendment and restatement of its US$800 million facilities agreement (which includes sustainability-linked features), and term loan facilities
  • PZ Cussons on its £325 million syndicated facilities agreement incorporating sustainability features and
  • Associated British Foods PLC in connection with the refinancing of its £1 billion revolving credit facility and its cash pooling and cash management arrangements.
