Sue May is an associate in our TMT practice in South East Asia.
Sue May is a corporate lawyer with previous experience in regulatory and compliance related work with a focus on personal data protection laws as well as assisting clients in dealing with regulatory bodies.
She was admitted into the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2017.

- a Chinese multinational technology company on the adequacy of data protection provisions and safeguards under Malaysian law with regards to the applicable protection applicable to personal data in the EU following the Schrems II judgement
- a Japanese credit card company in respect of the laws and regulations relating to its business model which encompasses Malaysia competition laws, personal data protection laws, and various policy documents issued by the Central Bank of Malaysia
- a company in the investigation initiated by the Malaysia Competition Commission for an alleged abuse of dominant position under the Competition Act 2010
- a Japanese company in respect of its compliance with Foreign Exchange Administration rules relating to borrowing, guarantees and hedging of derivative transactions.
