The government has announced changes to the national minimum wage from 1 October 2011. The hourly rate will increase to £6.08 for workers aged 21, £4.98 for workers aged 18-20, £3.68 for workers aged 16-17 and £2.60 for apprentices. The maximum accommodation offset will be £4.73 per day.
