Webinar: The new DIFC Employment Law
Wednesday 11 September 2019, 2.30pm - 3.30pm UAE time
The new DIFC Employment Law (Employment Law, DIFC Law No. 2 of 2019) was recently enacted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, on 30 May 2019. The new law will come into effect on 28 August 2019.
The new law replaces the existing law and amends its provisions in a number of key respects. On the whole, these changes are likely to be welcomed by both employees and employers. Companies in the DIFC to which the new law applies will need to review their existing policies, procedures and employment contracts and make any necessary amendments to ensure compliance with the new laws.
In this session, we will provide an overview of the new DIFC Employment Law, key changes to the existing regime and transitional steps you should consider for when the new law takes effect.
