COVID-19: People: Government issues guidance and clarification on Ministerial Resolution 281 of 2020 regarding remote working: UAE - 15 April

Following on from the Ministerial Resolution that was published on 29 March 2020 (MR 281) (see below), the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has now published two separate but related notes seeking to clarify elements of MR 281 and give further guidance on how it is to work in practice. The first is a temporary guide regulating remote working, to be annexed to MR 281. The second is a clarification of the sectors exempted from the effect of MR 281.

We have summarised the key points in relation to the ADGM’s Registration Authority's Registration Authority Circular No. 14 of 2020 on 29 March 2020 (“Circular”), its most recent circular published in the context of ongoing preventative and precautionary measures to ensure health and safety as a result of COVID-19.

The Circular relates to the maximum number of employees allowed to work in the offices of businesses licensed by the ADGM.
