What will it take for Australia to unlock investment in ESG?
Today’s investors, consumers and employees increasingly expect companies to take the lead with environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives – requiring sharp focus on the investments required to achieve targets being set by Australia and its corporate citizens.
This includes Australia’s benchmark of cutting net greenhouse emissions to 43% below 2005 levels by 2030, a target now enshrined in the Federal Government’s new Climate Change Act, as well as people and sustainability goals being embedded throughout supply chains.
Corporate Australia has demonstrated it is up for the challenge – it’s now a matter of scale, speed and investment.
