Sara is an associate in the firm's TMT, Data & Sourcing practice based in the London office.

Sara is a commercial and transactional lawyer advising on technology, media and entertainment, telecommunications and data privacy matters across a range of sectors. She works with private and public sector clients, including financial services clients, on a variety of projects including complex outsourcings, IT and professional services, technology procurement, software development and licensing, as well as data protection diligence and transitional service agreements in M&A transactions.

Sara completed a six-month international secondment in Seoul, South Korea, where she advised on corporate matters.

Background

Sara holds a BA in Law with French Law from the University of Oxford, having completed a year abroad at Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas.

  • Virgin Media O2 on its mobile network deployment and sharing arrangements with Vodafone, and associated spectrum transfer agreements
  • a new international foreign exchange and cross-border payments platform, operating by way of an app and multi-currency card, backed by a major UK retail bank on the:
    • renegotiation and restructuring of its strategic partnership agreement with a fintech supplier in relation to critical IP assets; and
    • trilateral personnel transfer and outsourced services arrangement in relation to key technology development resources and services and associated commercial arrangements
  • Transport for London on its exit from a PFI contract for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a networked digital radio and telecommunications system for use on the London Underground network and the negotiation of replacement contractual arrangements for its transition to a new service model for the operation and upgrade of this safety critical system
  • a regenerative packaging materials start-up on its partnership with a major European sporting goods retailer and associated supply agreements, as part of Herbert Smith Freehills' pro bono work supporting the Earthshot Prize
  • a major Middle Eastern client on the strategic procurement and implementation of a new smart-city development, including advising on and drafting contracts relating to software development agreements and channel partner agreements, as well as the development of multi-tier frameworks for both the sale and purchase of goods, services, software, and data across various sectors
