Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Jubilant Bhartia Group on its agreement with The Coca-Cola Company to acquire a 40% stake in Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of the largest Coca Cola bottler in India and the 11th largest globally, for over US$1 billion.
Jubilant Bhartia Group is an Indian conglomerate with a global presence and interests in multiple industries including pharmaceuticals, food services, agribusiness and energy.
The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by Corporate partner Siddhartha Shukla with support from senior associates Raj Mathew and Marcelo Valenca.
